They are in reality a Rock Blues based group drawing influences from all over the musical map. Tim has shared the stage with some of the biggest names in Texas music including a regular stint for 2 years with the nationally acclaimed Rusty Weir and Texas legend Bill Neeley. Other folks include Larry Joe Taylor, Billy Joe Shaver, Bobby Keys (sax man for the Rolling Stones ) Jesse Taylor, Papa Mali, Stanton Hoffman, AugieMeyers ( Sir Douglas Quintet ) and many others. Currently Tim Allen's Bluestime just got out of the studio working on their third album entitled Texas In Me featuring the song " Reverend Jack and His Roamin Cadillac Church" written and performed originally by one of Tim's friends from the Austin days Pat MacDonald from the band Timbuk 3 off of their critically acclaimed Eden Alley album (Interscope Records). The new album " Texas In Me" breaks new ground for the band and is being partially mixed and produced by Mark Tester from the legendary Lone Star Sudios in Austin Texas and features guest appearances by Larry Bullock on percussion ( Wahoo Creek Band) John DePace ( organ and piano ) and Jonathon Bullock ( percussion). The release date for the latest effort is set for June 2012. Tim Allen's Bluestime has been featured on many shows such as San Antonio's KSYM Blues Avenue show, WAVE 104 Blues Hangover show, the theme song to the BBQ Superstars Show (both internet radio and terrestrial radio), daily plays on Backstage with A J Blues out of Columbia SC, on Bridging The Gap of Georgia Radio, as well as a regular for the Blues-A-Polooza concert series & other appearances at the House of Blues. We believe the old adage from Austin that went something like this. Music should not be a competitive sport !!! We are all here to share and learn with others and that's the way it should be.
