As the years go on, I find that the souls are revealing more in- formation about the complex issues we face in our world, and some of the more delicate circumstances they face in theirs. I’m hearing more often in sessions that contrary to what we may think, there really are no absolutes in life here or hereafter—things change, people change, circumstances change, and even the souls change with their own spiritual growth, our prayers, and communication to and from the earth. As they’ve trusted me more, they’ve told me more. And as I’ve grown, so have the insights the souls can provide—they’ve come to acknowledge that life sometimes beats the starch out of the most tenuous of our beliefs, and that our existence is not always so much black and white as it is a series of different degrees of light. This is where the souls have been “living” lately in my perspective and in my own growth as a medium— they seem now, more than at any other time in my life, to want to tell us more about their extraordinary world so that we can better understand our own. We live and die sometimes under the most preposterous of cir- cumstances. We can’t always expect things to be packaged up as neatly as we believe they should be when the story ends. Unusual situations that arise on our journey—and beyond—require creative, thoughtful, and sometimes unusual solutions. Some roads to peace may need a little more navigation than others. Some struggles in life may need special attention. Some resolutions, both here and hereafter, may take some time, resourcefulness, and patience. If you are surprised that it all isn't quite as tidy as you thought it would be, then join the club-it took me sixty-odd years of life to understand it myself But the gist of the story of our world, our life, and our universe is this: it's moveable, and sometimes the universe needs to move with us to bring peace and resolution to our lives and our world. Is this something new? I don't think so. What I can tell you is that it's news to me, and a real evolution of thought and education. This is where I find myself with the souls, and this is why, with the souls' nudging, we have written another book. The souls need us to listen carefully to what they have to say. They want to tell us what they have learned about our world, now that they can see it in all dimensions and with perfect clarity. They know our lives are complicated, and they know that the journey is not always easy. But they also know that happy resolutions to the com­ plexities of life, even those that may defy explanation, are not only possible-they can be quite amazing. After so many years of hearing from the souls and decades of listening to stories of life both here and hereafter, I can tell you without reservation that there is an answer to every question, a solution to every problem, and a completion of everything left un­ finished in our lives. The manner in which that happens, however, is what makes the souls' world so extraordinary. The souls can help make perfect any circumstance in a world that seems some­ times to teeter on the brink of complete chaos. But it seems that only lately have they begun to trust us to understand the fact that even in their world perfection is relative. It sometimes needs a little finesse. And this seems to be the time in our lives that they want us to know. The souls have been speaking with absolute honesty about how perfect resolutions are possible, even in imperfect lives and circumstances. And once again, through the stories of ordinary people who have had extraordinary experiences in life and death, they are able to demonstrate the beauty of this concept in spectacular fashion.
