Give me Glamour - or not! Glamour gives form and expression to the unconscious, And, is therefore, very compelling. How often, we feel trapped by the fear of being trapped in glamour - But, if going through this glamour is needed to do so, so be it. Going through glamour wears it away, as its awareness seeps in. As Tripura Rahasya, an ancient text says: ‘Untruth is always changing; Truth can never.’ The world parades in glory only in front of ignorance, and disappears with right analyses. The nature of mind attaches with any immediate surroundings. It makes them its world, and starts believing in it as the truth, and then, sustains and defends it. Glamour is transient – transience will bring disappointment and suffering – Until we transcend it with consciousness. Consciousness can give the power of bridging over the trappings of glamour; Even with the choice of partaking it or avoiding it, but there is also a caveat… Because when you become conscious, then you don't experience the compulsive overbearingness of glamour, and the mediocrity of reality asserts itself. So, what do you want to choose - glamour or consciousness? - Sanjay Desai About the author: A corporate professional turned entrepreneur, Sanjay Desai’s true passion lies in stimulating evolutionary change.
