Introduction Are you doing what you love, yet worried about money? Do you feel torn between following your heart and making a living? Like many of us, Jennifer was spiritual and broke, until she had a shocking “Aha!” moment in the back of a police car. Her tragedy was a cataclysmic lesson that completely changed her perspective on the law of attraction. Spiritual and Broke is a practical guide for entrepreneurs, writers, artists, healers, and anyone who wants to follow their heart - without feeling like a martyr for the cause. This step-by-step guide to financial and spiritual abundance explores: • How Jennifer dug herself out of $135,000 of debt, stopped living paycheck to paycheck, and completely eliminated her angst around money; • How to painlessly transform your finances without feeling deprived or denying yourself the little luxuries in life; • The real reason why “bad things” happen to good people. Spiritual and Broke shows you how to create genuine prosperity, while honoring your true calling in life. If readers take away only one thing from this book, it’s how to stop feeling like a victim in life – especially when it comes to money. Chapter 1
Spiritual and Broke? I believe that if we do what we love the money will come... So today I played with kittens, basked in the sun, and watched a movie. Now I wait… The “Aha!” Moment Have you ever had a moment in your life that was so shocking, so horrible, and yet so absurdly random that you were compelled to wonder, “How the f*ck did I end up here!?!” I had such a moment at approximately 6 AM on a crisp fall morning in Venice, CA. The sun was just peeking out over the eastern horizon, painting the sky with a rich palette of red, orange, and yellow. I couldn’t help but notice the dazzling colors, enhanced by a layer of infamous LA smog. As the new day dawned, I watched this glorious sunrise from a perverse, unfamiliar, creepy, and unthinkable place… the back of a police car. Yes, that’s right: I was in the back of a police car. I always knew that great Tragedy freely and regrettably roams the world, striking chaos into the lives of its unwitting victims; never did I think it would come knocking on my doorstep. Many leaders, teachers, Saints, and even the Merriam-Webster dictionary refer to a moment like this as an “Aha!” moment: a point in time that provides a keen and sudden insight into our life. This surreal moment is often characterized by a sense that time is standing still - our state of shock turns us into the mere observer, as we watch our life unfold in slow motion, from a vantage point outside our body. This “Aha!” moment forces us to reconstruct our very essence; we know without a doubt, that we will never be the same person we once were. I believe that Tragedy often acts a catalyst for change – giving us the opportunity to make a profound “course-correction” in our lives. Looking back, I was way overdue for a major shift… Spiritual and Broke is coming soon! For more information, please go to www.jennifernoeltaylor.com |
