Terrorism, violence, rape
Murder, lies and prejudice
When the unconscious raises its ugly head,
Society is jostled, screaming dismay,
Seeking cover, rationale and blame.
Through that, it misses the monster,
That lurks within, burying it again.
Only spotting our stealthy shadows,
Locating where they lie,
Within us, not outside
Dance, Sex, Music, Food,
Sports, Yoga or Meditation
Any conscious hormonal release
Offers a steady vent to the
Ever rearing head of a Gollum,
Hidden and ignored.
Darkness of the self,
Is seeking light of day
To integrate with myself and
Make me whole again.
