Rev Devan Jesse Byrne This is a transcription of an unscripted video recording teaching on lesson 9 “I see nothing as it is now”. A part of a very intensive course that guarantees experience of transcendence and divine realization. Register for this course now, and learn more about it at http://OpenandClear.com Aside from simply looking around as the lesson does state, it does kind of implies that if you're not ready to do any more, or do it in any deeper, and the harder work with this please don't. And it gets into this active resistance idea, many different forms of resistance. Some active resistance you know, looks like being angry, getting upset, trying to push it away, just closing the book, using it as a doorstop, and so on. These things of, you know, when you're actively resisting the government you’re protesting, you're writing letters of hatred, and you know you're actively resisting. Some other non-active resistances are kind of just natural states, natural things like not having time, not having time for this, seems like well that's not you know up to me. You know I have to have a rest, I have to sleep, I have to eat, I spend time with my family, I have to go to work, have to do all these things. Yeah, it's beautiful, absolutely beautiful. And no way am I telling you that you're doing this wrong. It's just you know it's one of those things, that as short as this lesson is, and as much as we put more effort into it here, but this lesson is very simple, very short, and it will take five minutes out of your day. But you’ll find that as you go along, you'll start to think, oh I just don't want to get up early, or I just don't want to do it right now. And a sense of laziness comes over you that you’re not attracted to it, that you just can't seem to fit it into your schedule. And a lot of different things, even just sleepiness, you might even be reading it and falling asleep while you're doing so. That the mind, as much as it works, and as well as it works, when it doesn't want to be doing something, and as far as on the subconscious level, and the consciousness is saying no, no, no, we've got to do this, we've got to do this. It will naturally take over You know, just like passing out. It's actually trying to protect you, from what, from yourself, and pretty much saying you really want to not do this right now. And it might be because you start to notice something going on with these lessons. You might actually start noticing that where these lessons are going, and what this lesson is going to be you know, enveloping in you, and where you're going with all of this, is kind of the demise of yourself. It's kind of the end of you, and your mind has been developed in a fashion to have a specific you, have a personality, and then this is the end, or the death of your personality, your independence. And as much as that is a distortion of what is actually going to be occurring, it's one of those resistances, that you start thinking you understand what's going on with this. One of my favorites that comes up with people, is that this book is brainwashing, and it's actually brainwashing you, to brainwash the collective to be drones or something. Yeah, I get this often. They talk about the people who brought it together, you know, Ken Wapnick and Helen Schucman and how they were these sociologists, psychologists, and Ken Wapnick even worked in the CIA, in this department that dealt with mass hypnotism. How is it set up so perfectly, now you might be like wait, whoa, wait a second? Well, I'm not afraid of sharing this information with you, because it is only one of those tactics, that this quiet subtle resistance that we have to are allowing this to happen, allowing this to really take its course. So, we want to recognize this. This is a very beautiful time when you recognize you’re in resistance. It might not be as easily and as obvious all the time, as you know you get upset about something. Usually, it takes you to blow up, to finally admit, oh ok I'm in resistance here, maybe I need to calm down and start accepting this. Well, it goes with any case, in any practice, in any moment of this. If you're not at perfect peace, in perfect acceptance, you do have a sense of resistance about your life. And we can even get deeper into this understanding of how resistance, is the basis of what a definition is. In order to define something, you have to resist the rest of it, in order to say this is, this is me, this is a book, this is this thing, and not all of this. We'll be getting more into that at another time, which we've talked about, and we can always get more into that, as we move along. But as far as today, how can we deepen the exercise and what this has to offer. I did not see this typewriter, as it is now. I do not see this lamp, as it is now. I do not see this ball, as it is now. Now I don't know about you, but I notice my eyes jump around very fast, they want to look at everything all at once, so many things to look at and to identify with. But can I approach a situation? Can I be in a conversation? Can I converse with people? Can they deal with the same things I do every day, and recognize that how I respond, and how I act to the situation, has to do with past relevance and past situations? Things I've learned, things I've experienced things I've understood, things I've come to know before, and not actually as it is right now. Often, I do this naturally with sensations of the body, the feeling with my skin, feeling usually my other hands, or my leg. And I go into a deep state of my mind, by asking about this, by talking about this. By questioning this, that the sensation I'm feeling as I'm feeling my legs, I’m just rubbing my hands against my legs. Do this now, hint, hint, wink, wink, nudge, nudge. And I'm feeling the sensation, and I go back and I think of when was the first time, I felt this, or even an earlier time, anytime. I felt this sensation before, and I know what this sensation is, and try to remember an earlier time I felt the sensation just like this, maybe a different circumstance. How was it that I understood what that sensation was, what this sensation is now? How do I know if I ever felt it as it is now? How do I know what it would feel like if I felt it as it is now? What would it feel like, what would it be like? My mind goes into what seems like a magnification, or the sensation, where it gets intensified, and almost as if I can start feeling the texture, in a deeper, deeper, way. And that texture becomes prelavent in such a fashion, (yeah, I makeup words all the time around here) what is that sensation? You believe you can only feel to an extent, that you have this definition of the sensation, and it stops at a certain point. Well, that's how it is, almost as if you have a dead end, and ending point in which, your body cannot feel any more. Think of your definition as this, think of your application of your past as this, that the feeling you're feeling, the sensation you're feeling, is the exact same thing. As what you conceptually understand as your thoughts, your beliefs, your description, and definition. That it is actually an alternate dimension of the same experience, the physical world is a representation, of the exact same experience in which you think. The barrier to feeling beyond this sensation is not with your hands, it's not with the objects, it's in your mind. For your not actually feeling your hands, you're not actually moving your arms, you only have thoughts projected outward. Be sure to participate with me in the meditation, we’re gonna get much deeper into this. Today’s the day. Yeah, what do you think? I think it could be today. I think some of you are just kind of blah blah pop right out. We were getting on to something, weren’t we? Is it you, are ya gonna, no, you want to see what all these lessons are like don't ya. You want to see what is in store? That's OK. Let's take our time. There's no rush. We've got eternity to play with here, anywhere, that is, and everywhere. Have a beautiful day. Rev. I am learning so much about being of service, and how it helps to release me from my daily junk I can too easily get caught in. Sometimes when I’m down I think of something cute or silly that Rev. Devan said and a smile quickly replaces the negativity. Gratitude works too.
This lesson speaks to me in a strange way. Resistance is a real thing, and it helps keep me motivated. I could really relate though to the getting lazy, kinda zoning out places, where I could just feel the course slipping away, and then I remembered the Rev. Devan’s words and I bounced back, realizing that I do want ascension above all else. I also loved the encouragement at the end of this lesson because ya know, it could be the day. Maybe, Just maybe.
