I, for One, Love This; I Really Do Yes, you’ve just had a terrible car crash You broke both of your legs You were laid off last night You lost all your files saved in your hard drive Your only child has just died of an unknown disease Your wife has eloped with a rich and handsome boy You have not been able to sleep for more than a week Your sick father has just turned a plant being Your eyes cannot see any longer You become bankrupt today Your bad cough is getting dramatically worse You find yourself a new cancer patient You are being tortured by an evil interrogator Or…. no problem, but you still have at least one remarkable reason To celebrate: you remain alive, and so long As this is true, you will be rewarded, sooner or later In an ever surprising way, for every single occurrence is A real preparation for the better to come Indeed, what I say is, just be brave, for each event That takes place in your life leads you nowhere else But one more step closer to heaven Courage from Hope Which has no feathers, yet Like a kite it may fly high Above the season in the sky Whose string is Held tight In the hand of a running soul This Grass You must see someday: (It’s always harder than in The case of a flower) After it was Burned as many as ten times by the climate Trodden twenty times by the foot Broken thirty times by the wind last year Yet this tiny & humble grass Is standing straight up again With no less pride & dignity Returning green with the whole season Self-Recovery 1/ Rolling my entire inner self Into a fallen leaf, but leaving A crack at the tip, I hope To let in some sunlight So I can warm up again, or Make a whistle against the cold 2/ Every wound heals in time But I keep mine always open Not because I fear the scar But because my soul needs To get some sunlight Especially on a rainy day Welcome, Dear Death ever since pangu separating the sky from the earth all my poor fellow humans have been hating hiding from, or fighting face to face with you although in vain but i love you, dear death not because you are the more fair, and sincere than any lover willing to declare nor because you are the ultimate home to any wandering soul seeking a dome nor because you could even give one's name a guaranteed immortal fame i do not know how to count the countless ways i love you yet i have flirted with your shadow hundreds of times in private when i found it unbearable every cutting pain in my body when i was simply sick of the fact life is full of the foul, or when i lost the meaning and direction of my dull and humble life i love you, dear death because only you can liberate my soul from the stuffy prisonhouse and give me the fresh air in the outside world No More Hanging On so long have I longed to give up all my earthy concerns like an enlightened Buddhist monk i am ready to climb up to the peak of an unknown mountain where I can build a plain hut with fallen leaves and branches where I can feel nothing but the fresh songs of the forest where I can hear the budding of wild chrysanthemums where I can taste the green wind caressing the bubbling stream where I can watch the sweetness of bamboos shooting from the rocky vale where I can smell the heavy breath of tall pine trees and unknown bushes will earth stop rotating round the sun because of my humble interruptions?
