Poems of Life, Love, and the Meaning of Meaning A Meditation On The Cycle of An Individual’s Poignant and Profound Journey On Earth FREDERICK, MARYLAND – March 15, 2018 – What began almost four years ago during the morning commute has since grown into a full-length collection of poetry. Written by Maryland-based Architect Paul Gorman under the pen-name “ Wren ,” Poems of Life, Love, and the Meaning of Meaning is a reflection on our human lives, love, and end-of-life to finding innerhealing and transcendence. “Writing was my way of trying to understand what I wanted, and express what I felt,” says Gorman. By day, he is a practicing architect who primarily focuses on the designs of new commercial construction, striving to create buildings that are functional and efficient, in context and balanced aesthetically. As an architect, Gorman is conditioned to see the purpose behind what we have created in our built environmen t . Likewise in prose and lyrical poetry, Gorman translates this curiosity for meaning and purpose i nto syntax with intention. "’Less is more’ is a well-known phrase that comes to mind, along with rhythm and proportion, balance and scale,” says Gorman. “In architecture, as is in poetry, when things come together naturally and are not forced, you know you are on the right track. I also keep in mind that nature rewards efficiency.” Gorman is working on another collection of poetry due out later this year. Early reviews are in: Poems of Life “ touches your heart as they cover all aspects of life. You can just randomly open any page and enjoy Wren's poems, as they all have a very special message." “‘The Right Thing’ got me motivated to get out of my own perfectionistic way and actually get started on a project. I'm enjoying this beautiful collection over and over, and find a new favorite each time." “I am grateful for the gift of his words that express such depth of spiritual truth in a simple accessible way. It's hard to put the book down when I start reading it as I want to fill my heart and soul with the next poem and then the next one. I look forward to more offerings from Wren in future books.” Poems of Life, Love, and the Meaning of Meaning is published by Year of the Book Press and is available in paperback on Amazon amzn.to/2BJut0G To learn more about the author, visit wrenpoems.com/ .
