Tangoing with Time
Being told my soul is timeless,
undying, staying alive,
kindling fire in my spirit,
to relish and savor life,
whether in pain or joy,
to its fullest lows and highs,
I take on the world
that is taking me on,
testing the tenacity and muscles
of the depths of my soul
When the force is too strong
I battle, wrestle, spar, slam
to affirm the dominance of
my spirit over matter,
unconscious of the Spirit
behind the dominant force,
that breaks my body and mind.
Fragility breaks me
makes me nothing,
leaf cannot fight the wind.
I realize too late
that I mistook my ego
to be my spirit.
The impregnable force
stays sublime,
synced with the greater good,
from where it draws its prime.
When my intention is all about
playing my role for a greater good,
my ego stays in a state at source,
and I stay aligned with the force,
to assume the shape
that’s required of me,
it's then that I become
resilient and anti- fragile.
