To escape life in its harsh forms,
Fear of scarcity, fear of being lonely,
Fear of facing myriad uncertainties,
Climb the steps, climb the ladder,
Keep holding on, and don’t ever fall,
So are we told, Thus we are taught.
As Life meets us, it is in all its forms,
gentle, aggressive, domineering,
bendable, lovable and even brutal.
My vulnerabilities stir in its boil,
Fears, shame, anger, jealousy.
I love the ride, but I fear her churns,
I accept her a bit but reject the rest,
Havent we been taught to climb, hoard,
Step over Life and survive its surges.
As all who seek to love, or be loved,
Life too is seeking an embrace of love,
In all it’s manifested forms that emerge, whether broken, messy, vivid, alive.
But living in ambition, or repression,
We become partial partakers of life.
Shadows of denials will then lurk, abound,
Fueling deficiency and doubts, that
Erode our own worth and wellbeing.
Make up to your own wellbeing, this year,
Take the Conscious Leap
