Heal Yourself. Heal the World.

Today, I’m focusing on the lyrics to one of the most important songs I’ve composed: “Stand Proud.”   When you have a moment, please read the lyrics. It talks about standing in your rich history of good and bad times, big and small mistakes that have evolved into life lessons, and actions steps we’ve taken and are still taking that are leading to growth from inside-out.   It talks about the importance of being real with each other, vulnerable, and genuine, and it asks us to come out of hiding, (“take off your mask, your history share”), share what we’ve gone through, what we’ve learned, and who we are now and want to be.   Rather than chastising, comparing, judging, and criticizing ourselves and others, it invites compassion and empathy.   The most important message of “Stand Proud:” Heal Yourself. Heal the World.   When we do the inner work to heal ourselves, our positive vibration resonates throughout the entire world. It’s the butterfly effect in motion.   And so, here it is. The lyrics to “Stand Proud.” Remember to do just that. Stand Proud. For with this pain, I’ve set myself free, And that’s who I am today.   We are one family after all, We smile, breathe, and bleed the same way.
