UFOs, E.T.s, Dr. George King and The Aetherius Society Maya Mire by Paul Nugent (www.6th-books.com) A Spiritual Journey into Cosmic Truth and the Dawning of a New World “Death closes all: but something ere the end, Some work of noble note, may yet be done, Not unbecoming men that strove with Gods.” Alfred Tennyson, Ulysses On May 13, 1990, aged 31 and a single man, I arrived at Los Angeles international airport on a one-way ticket from London Heathrow with almost all of my personal belongings in hand. I was not quite stepping into the unknown but in recent months my life had taken a dramatic turn, leaving behind a wake of genuine concern among family, friends and former work colleagues in the UK. In short, I had come to join an organization that was founded upon the belief that extraterrestrials exist, and that they had communicated through the founder of this organization for more than 35 years. It was not the sort of turn that most people tend to take in life. Indeed, they are much more likely to head quickly in the opposite direction.
However, for me, it was an obligation I felt compelled to make as something I had intuitively known from before I was born. The orthodox route through life was a path that I had never fully embraced, mindful that it was not adventure that I otherwise sought but meaning; something that could satisfy my inner yearning for greater beauty and truth in our broken world. Moreover, it was not a rash gamble I felt I was making; there had been a steady meting out of steps that had brought me to this point, each of which had held firm beneath my questioning feet. This soul journey first manifested seven years earlier, not long after I had embarked on a career in the London wine trade. Not knowing of anywhere else to turn, I read the four Gospels with a fresh seriousness and they found fertile ground. Within a few weeks, in search of a way to actualize my newly-discovered faith, I ventured into Westminster Abbey with its ancient gothic walls that housed the well-polished tombstones of kings and poets. But I also found the abbey cold and austere so one Sunday afternoon after wandering down The Mall, I transferred my allegiance to the more welcoming atmosphere of St. Martin in the Fields in nearby Trafalgar Square where I became actively involved. I was still cautious in my dealings but I found myself being drawn to the “Scrub Club”, a handful of folk who each Saturday evening cleaned the old church that was renowned for its care of the homeless. The group was run by an elderly spinster who, curiously, had known my late uncle killed in the Second World War, and I sensed from the way she spoke that she had loved him. Meanwhile, my spiritually-inclined employer directed me towards a school of Eastern philosophy which he, himself, attended. Here I was introduced to the precepts of karma and reincarnation which rang no less true than the Christianity I had already embraced. Coinciding with this spurt of spiritual learning, his secretary informed me of a community in Northern Scotland called Findhorn which had established a world famous garden through communion with nature spirits. I spent two short periods at this New Age center and might have stayed longer had it not been for her other introduction to The Aetherius Society with its European Headquarters close to where I both lived and worked, and where they believed in extraterrestrials. It was this introduction which has gone on to shape the remainder of my life and which caused me to uproot myself and relocate to California over 30 years ago. The previous year I had visited the headquarters in Hollywood where George King, the founder of the organization, still lived. His reputation as a contactee for extraterrestrials and Master of Yoga greatly preceded him and so I was naturally anxious to meet him in person since, despite his English origin, he was not expected to ever return to the UK given his advanced age and ill health. The consequence of that three-week visit was an invitation to move to the American Headquarters; an offer which, as you have read, I accepted. The previous five years had allowed me to make a full study of the cosmic teachings that had been conveyed through Dr. King in his unique capacity as “Primary Terrestrial Mental Channel” and I had found no reason for doubt. Following the Second World War in which he served as a section leader in London’s Fire Service during the notorious Blitz, he had devoted himself to the science of yoga in an attempt to better understand our rightful purpose upon Earth; far removed from the inhumanity of global war which had recently escalated with the advent of the atomic bomb. Ten years later, after practicing yogic techniques for up to eight hours a day, he attained mastery and with it came the elevated state of Samadhic Consciousness. This ability enabled him to be used as a medium for highly evolved intelligences existing upon the higher planes of other planets within our solar system. To the initial eye and the skeptic such other-worldly notions are all “codswallop” as we say in England, but to look beyond the surface is to find a whole New World of meaning. The concepts, literally, were – and indeed are – cosmic; and they became the next step in my own journey of spiritual discovery. An early convincing moment was hearing a recorded transmission played during the Divine Service each Sunday morning. Dr. King and the Society claimed it to be the voice of Jesus – a Venusian – in a series of twelve cosmic transmissions he had delivered on consecutive Sundays in 1958. Such a claim would be sufficiently outrageous for most people to walk away amid guffaws of laughter, but I was curious due to the inherent seriousness and spiritual profundity which the messages contained. I was ripe to hear this material and, like the four Gospels from 2,000 years before, they found the same fertile ground. In 1986 I became a member of the organization and two years later joined its voluntary staff, helping out with as much spare time as I could provide. The revelations given by George King as a Master of Yoga and, even more importantly, through him as a voice for advanced Interplanetary Beings provide a new depth of spiritual and philosophical wisdom that our world, through its inherent immaturity and weakness, has carelessly cast aside. Such profound Cosmic Wisdom takes us beyond death on an eternal soul journey we are each making through countless lifetimes, ever onwards and upwards to higher levels of consciousness. This vision, together with an appreciation of our interrelatedness with all life – most especially the Mother Earth – is the next transformative stage in our collective evolution. For a growing number of people this realization is already apparent, but it is an understanding that is becoming increasingly urgent for us all to behold as our world unravels into greater chaos, division and potential destruction. I was to remain at the American Headquarters for the following 33 years and where, two years after I arrived, I became a full-time aide to Dr. King, serving at his side for the remaining years of his life. It was a remarkable journey and one I have told in Maya Mire – A Spiritual Journey into Cosmic Truth and the Dawning of a New World. ***
Sometimes we encounter something extraordinary, something so different and unusual that we don’t know what to make of it. That is the case with Maya Mire: A Spiritual Journey into Cosmic Truth and the Dawning of a New World. Is it true, or is it fiction? Clearly the author believes it all to be true. In this regard, Maya Mire is the story of Paul Nugent’s own spiritual quest to discover the universal journey we are all making--and have been since the beginning of time--embracing alien worlds, higher and lower dimensions of reality, and living galaxies. It is a compelling story told by a close disciple of the Western Master of Yoga, George King, who founded The Aetherius Society in London, England, in 1955. George King was a contactee for intelligences existing upon the higher dimensions of other planets within our solar system. In over 600 “cosmic transmissions,” they outlined this timeless odyssey that humanity--and all of Creation--is making with ever-expanding consciousness back to the ultimate Source from which we all sprang billions of years ago.
