RADIO WAVES AND SPIRITUALISM . A PHILOSOPHICAL LINK By Stephen William,  UK based author of: ”Nostradamus His Prophecy Finally Explained.” Available on Amazon Kindle now. Occaisonally people of mystical or mediumistic nature are asked by people who have not had a direct spiritual experience or contact “ Okay, so where is exactly is this spiritual dimension you speak of?” . Or  “You say my father is with you now, giving this message, but is he actually in this room or somewhere else?”.  Even to a lifelong or very experienced mystic ,answering this question ,which is often asked sincerely, can be quite difficult. A VINTAGE RADIO TUNER DEMONSTRATING ALL THE DIFFERENT WAVELENGTHS THAT CAN BE TUNED INTO.  WE APPEAR TUNE INTO A DIFFERENT “WAVELENGTH”   WHEN WE CONTACT THE SPIRITUAL DIMENSION TO EXISTENCE. However, even before I became I became involved in mysticism and even before I started being trained and developed into a medium, I stumbled upon a simple way of explaining this seemingly difficult to describe form of experience. I became interested in Spiritualism by chance meeting over 25 years ago whilst on vacation in the Canary Islands which are  some Spanish owned islands just off the coast of North Africa. My wife and I with our daughters entered a  restaurant and got talking to a relative of the  English owners, who worked there as a spiritual medium giving readings to the diners . Until then I had been very skeptical of mediumship , but as we were on vacation and her charges were very reasonable (note to skeptics, mediums are not out to exploit people!) I said she could give my wife and myself a reading  to see if she could get anything right. What followed was one of the most amazing events of my life! She identified major events in both my wife’s and my own life , clearly identified passed relatives and friends , identified a troubling work situation and gave solution to it and also made two predictions which came true within days of our return back to England! I asked her how she did this and she said her spirit guide was a French gypsy and passed the information to her . This completely upturned my view towards spiritual mediums. On return  to England  I booked to see another medium to see if her reading corresponded with the one which I received in the Canary Islands  and to my astonishment it did! This settled in my mind that no trickery had been involved . This lady also predicted that one day I could become a medium myself.  Well that came true of course! So that started my journey to becoming a spiritual medium , but I still tried to rationalize what was happening to myself, so I went down to my local book library and borrowed a book on spiritualism written by a scientist. I chose that one, as it being written by a scientist would align with my still slightly skeptical view of what I appeared to be experiencing. In the book he likened the spiritual dimension to existence as being on a different wavelength to the physical world as we know it. Radio waves as you  know come in different wavelengths on your radio. So if you turn the dial or press  the digital preset  and switch stations you get another station. However, it does not mean the previous station you were listening to is no longer there , as can be demonstrated by switching back to it . Both are equally real simultaneously. So you are in a room with two equally valid realties being presented to you, just by “tuning in” in a different way . As the above retro radio tuner picture shows there are many different wavelengths . Long wave, Medium Wave etc. On modern radios there are even more such as DAB etc. Radio waves for broadcasting are artificially produced by human technology but illustrates how one state of being can coexist with another. And that is how all those years ago it made me realise what I had experienced was real. This is a way to explain spirit contact to a questioner what they are experiencing which may seem unreal to them, even though the information they have via you the medium is accurate. Okay a skeptic may say you are using a technological reality to explain a supernatural event which may not actually exist in their view. Yet that is the point, people who are used to an invisible non-tangible way via technology to receive messages or music, only need to adjust their thinking  slightly to accommodate the reality of communication by spiritual means. Just as you use a radio receiver to receive radio signals ,you are using a medium to receive accurate spiritual messages. Therefore the physical dimension coexists with the spiritual dimension where the Afterlife exists. That is why the Afterlife can come “close” and give proof of the continuity of life after death. Just as a radio(or TV) presenter or DJ is distant from you but sounds close, a departed spirit may be in a different dimension but feels close because of the accuracy of the communication. The Multiverse Theory which is gaining in acceptance in the Science community is how you can give a rational explanation. Stephen Hawking the now sadly departed Physicist famous for his book “A Brief History Of Time” , wrote a paper which included  his agreement that a Multiverse may exist . The Multiverse Theory has been around for over a century and here are its Key points.   The multiverse includes all universes, which contain everything that exists.https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/get-community-support The multiverse could include universes with different physical laws, histories, and processes.  The multiverse could include an infinite number of universes.  The multiverse could include universes that are separated by vast distances.  Evidence and theories The multiverse is consistent with quantum mechanics, string theory, and cosmic inflation.  The multiverse idea has arisen in many versions, including regions of space in different planes, and bubble universes that constantly appear.     Surely in this kind of VAST scenario a Spiritual Realm and an Afterlife could exist? In fact in such a scenario it would be more unbelievable if one did not!  I have used the analogy of radio waves and how it helped me understand the possibility of a spiritual dimension and become a medium myself, as a philosophical explanation to people who cannot grasp how they are experiencing something unfamiliar to their previous understanding. However from a rational or scientific point of view ,if 200 years ago in 1825 you spoke of the concept of radio waves to a scientist of that time and how they would be used now, he would probably think you were mad! It would not be until 1887 when Heinrich Hertz first produced them. Science and philosophy will continue make new discoveries , but perhaps us mystics are ahead of the game and can point them in the direction of the greatest discovery of all, the reality of the Afterlife? © Stephen William International Copyright.
