From the 15-book series, The Archangel Chronicles. (Ginger continues her conversation with Malachite, A most remarkable dragon.) Chapter 6, Part 2 The Ural Mountains Russia “So, in your flight, are all dragons as enormous as you?” “Again, in our particular lineage, our size is determined by our age. Unlike humans, who stop physically growing at some point, Ural dragons continue to grow as we age.” “Wow,” mused Ginger softly. “Then, you must be very old!” Barachiel grinned at her dragon friend, but stayed silent. Malachite caught her look and returned the grin. “I’ll have you know, Youngling, that I am merely in my prime – just like you!” He paused and his face leaned close to Ginger’s. Very close. “Now, tell me. Exactly how old do you think I am?” Ginger gulped, once again wishing she had her impulsivity better under control. She gulped again. “I believe you’re 50 years old, Sir, er, Malachite.” The dragon sat back, grinning at the girl. “Good save, Star Child. Actually I’m only 450 years young, although my charm and inherent good looks make me appear younger.” He paused a moment as he brushed an imaginary piece of lint from his shoulder, and then gazed at Ginger. “So, I take it that I’m the first dragon you’ve ever met?” Ginger nodded vigorously. “Might I also assume that you’ve never had the great honor and distinct privilege of riding a dragon of my eminent stature?” Again, Ginger nodded, her eyes wide, hoping against hope that a long-held wish might be about to come true. She quickly moved her arms behind her, crossed her fingers and held her breath. “Well, I guess we’ll just have to do something about that, eh, Barachiel?” The archangel nodded solemnly. “If, it is true that no quest is complete without a dragon, then, it only makes sense that riding the aforementioned dragon would enhance any quest a hundred-fold.” Ginger expelled her breath in one gasp. “Does that mean what I think it does? I get to ride a dragon?” “Sure,” Malachite agreed. “That’s a great idea! Now, we just need to find a dragon.” Ginger’s face fell. “Oh, but, I thought …” “GOTCHA!” Malachite chuckled that deep rumbling in his chest. “Ha! I’m just prankin’ you, Human. Simply close your eyes and imagine yourself sitting on my back. Teleportation, as humans call it, is all about attention and intention, but we’ll talk more about that later.” He paused. “And to throw a teaching moment in here, imagination is one of the hallmarks of humanity, too often ignored and/or underused, but, too, that will be part of ..” “… another discussion!” Ginger giggled. “Okay,” she said, “here I go!” Ginger gently closed her eyes, and from the depths of her being, she put out the intention and imagined herself easily sitting on the dragon. After a long moment, she whispered, “I’m sorry, but I forgot to ask how long I should do this.” The dragon chuckled again, but this time, the glorious sound rumbled through Ginger, and her eyes snapped open to find herself easily and comfortably sitting upon Malachite’s back. “I did it, Barachiel!” she called down to the archangel, but then a thought crossed her mind, and her brow furrowed. “Wait. How do I hold on so I don’t fall? Trust?” Malachite chuckled again. “Love and Trust. That’s all you need, Youngling! Now, enough of this chatter. Are you ready? Seatbelt buckled?” Concern flooded her face, and her eyes darted to locate possible seatbelts. Malachite’s rumbling chuckle swept through her, and she smiled weakly. “You’re just messin’ with me again!” Malachite nodded. “That wasn’t as strong as the others, and I feel sorry for a measly human going up against someone as witty, intelligent and humble as me. Therefore, should anyone ask, I believe the scoreboard now reads 2-0 – in my favor, of course, and this visit has only just begun.” “Not for long, Dragon,” Ginger muttered under her breath. “I’m biding my time!” Malachite gazed suspiciously at the girl. “Did you say something, Youngling?” Ginger sat tall on the dragon and nodded. “Just that I’m more than ready, Malachite! I was born to do this! Let’s split this pop stand!” Very slowly, the giant beast rose, and unfolded his powerful wings. He turned his head to wink at Ginger, and smoothly – effortlessly – the mighty dragon lifted gently off the ledge and into the sky, his wings pushing them forward. Ginger gulped audibly, but then remembered his words: Love and Trust. With a new resolve, she chose to embrace the experience, and grew in confidence with each moment. It wasn’t long before she was holding up her arms when he dived, recalling the joy of Iowa roller coasters. Together, they soared into the jet streams, and she greeted the eagle she had watched from the ledge. In response, the eagle tipped one wing in respect before continuing his own flight. Throughout, Ginger filled her soul with such Love and Trust that she almost felt as if she, too, could fly. Far too soon for her liking, however, dragon and youngling returned to the ledge and Barachiel. Ginger was ecstatic. “That was so awesome!” she cried. “I love your wings!” she said, as she watched them fold back to his side. “Thank you, Youngling, but shall I share a secret with you?” Ginger’s eyes widened. “Yes!” she whispered. “Dragons don’t need wings to fly, just as angels – even very special archangels like B. don’t need them to fly, either. Nonphysical beings move by thought. Humans dig the wings, but they’re not needed!” Ginger nodded with this new information, knowing she would spend some time processing it. She closed her eyes and imagined herself safely standing on the ledge. Instantly, she was there. Reverently, she touched a dragon talon. “Thank you so much, Malachite! I will always remember that!” “Look at you, Youngling! You wasted no time in remembering to use intention and attention and that great imagination of yours to get you where you want to go!” She grinned, and turned to the angel. “Thank you, Barachiel, for bringing me here to meet Malachite. I will never forget this day!” Barachiel smiled. “I know, Ginger. Riding a dragon for the first time is always a special thrill. You are most welcome, but I doubt that will be the last time for such an experience now that you and Malachite are friends.” She turned to the dragon. “Let’s settle in so that we might have ourselves a conversation, shall we?” Malachite grinned. “I’m always up for a little confab.” He looked at Ginger. “You good here?” Ginger nodded. “After that ride, I’m great, thanks.” The three settled in, Ginger sitting opposite the two beings so that she could easily talk with both. Once settled, Barachiel began. “Ginger, you’ve learned a great deal from the other stops on our journey already, but Malachite and I would now like to build on that knowledge. Several times, we have told you that certain topics would be discussed later. So, later is now!” “You have heard the word illusion used several times already. Basically, while everything in a human’s experience feels real, none of it is. Everything is an illusion: Life, Death, Time, Fear – the list goes on and on. Another task souls take on when incarnating is to navigate the illusion to uncover what is real.” The angel paused when she saw a furrowed brow on Ginger’s face. “But if all of those are just illusions, then what’s left to be real?” “Unconditional Love. It’s not only the basis of everything, but Unconditional Love is everything.” The archangel nodded. “Unconditional Love is in everyone and everything.” She paused a moment in thought. “Remember, that we talked about the Great Earth Experiment when you were trying to process everything you had learned in Karasjok?” Ginger nodded. “Each incarnating soul agreed to participate in this experiment because each understood Unconditional Love is critical for humanity’s evolution.” “Evolution? And why is it critical?” Ginger asked. “I know there are lots of problems in the world, but we’re doing okay as we are right now, aren’t we?” She paused. “And if we have agreed to help each other evolve, evolve into what, exactly?” Malachite chuckled softly. “I can answer some of those, B.” He thought a moment and then said, “Youngling, when we were flying, how did you feel?” “It was great! I felt great! It was awesome!” “Exactly. Your emotions – your vibrations – rose to a higher state than usual during that flight. You have learned that the entire Universe vibrates, although everything and everyone vibrate at different levels. But let’s go back to the flight. Before you even met me, how did you feel?” “Amazing! I had met Michael of Archangel Fame, Barachiel, had amazing visits with Elias and Áhkku, and spent precious time with the Mayan Goddess Ixchel.” Malachite nodded. “All of it sounds great, but when you were actually flying on my back, was there a different feeling than all that other wonderfulness?” Ginger thought a long moment, and then nodded. “Yes. I felt higher, but I don’t mean altitude.” “You were feeling your raised vibrations. Right now, most of humanity is vibrating at, and operating in the 3rd Dimension, like your Iowa lifetime. You, yourself, said you had a great life – loving parents, two brothers and a big dog. Life was wonderful. But there was also terrible wars going on in the world. There was great poverty. There was catastrophic illnesses and cataclysmic weather events. And in your personal life, there were kids who bullied you and others. But even given all the negativity, you described your lifetime to Barachiel as And while I wasn’t crazy about that whole death-at-a-young-age part, I had a great life!” “But here’s the thing – raising your vibrations and moving into higher dimensions would be like how you felt when we were flying – far above what you have ever experienced. You Trusted, and moved forward into that higher vibration, even if for only a few moments. Humanity is tasked with raising and then maintaining those vibrations – lifting the Collective Consciousness, which is just a fancy way of saying to raise the vibrations of everyone and everything on the planet.” “Okay, I get that, but it’s hard to imagine that could happen with all the gazillion people in the world. So, you mentioned the 4th and 5th dimensions. We’re actually going to move through both?” Malachite nodded. “The nonphysical realms of the spirit are the higher levels of awareness, intuition and spiritual connection than the 3-D world that you remember.” Ginger nodded. “That makes sense to me, but if I can see and touch you, are we in a higher dimension right now? And, where do you normally hang out? Which dimension holds the dragons?” She turned to Barachiel. “And where do you hang out?” Barachiel chuckled. “I adore your curiosity, Ginger. Generally speaking, dragons, angels and other nonphysical beings operate in the 4th and 5th dimensions, but once beings have graduated from physicality, higher realms can be accessed by any nonphysical beings by just continuing to raise their consciousness. No being is constrained to remain on a designated realm. Free Will is part of this Earth experiment. If you wish to move to a higher plane, you simply raise your consciousness, but there is no pressure to do so.” “To answer another one of your questions, the three of us are presently in the 4th dimension. Once you leave physicality, it is possible for beings to temporarily lower their vibrations in order to appear in the 3rd dimension. That’s why it seems that angels – and dragons – come and go. We are merely temporarily lowering our vibrations, hoping to connect with a human who has raised his/her vibrations, and we are then able to meet in the middle, allowing humans to see us – in whatever way we choose to present ourselves.” Ginger turned to Barachiel. “So, let’s say that I want to raise my vibrations – my consciousness. What would I do?” “It’s really quite simple, blessed child, for there are many ways to do such a thing. Meditation and mindfulness, which is observing your thoughts, feelings, and sensations with curiosity. Instead of reacting to something that happens, you respond by being mindful, and choosing to look at the experience from the macrocosm by stating, Now, isn’t that interesting? Doing that removes Ego from the situation, which is always a good thing.” “Why? What’s wrong with Ego?” “Nothing. It is a remarkable gift to humanity, which helps you form your personal identity. It only becomes a problem when it is left unchecked to be in charge of your life. It’s all about me and what I want. Me, me, me! First, thanking Ego for all it has done for you, you can then gently state that it needs to move from front and center into the background of your life so that your soul can now run the show. So to speak.” Ginger looked dubious. “And that’s it? Ego will move to the background just like that?” Barachiel nodded. “Yes, but it’s not a one-time shot. Every day, you have to thank and remind Ego to relinquish control of your life. You will find that with practice, you can do it automatically, and be able to not only rise above and view situations from a higher perspective, where you will have better clarity, but are also better able to see the lesson involved which created it.” The archangel paused. “Do you understand?” When Ginger nodded, she continued. “Let’s finish our discussion with raising consciousness. “Meditation, mindfulness, and conscious breathing, which is just taking the time throughout your day to breathe slowly and deeply, adopting a healthier life style that includes good nutrition and regular exercise, and viewing life from that higher perspective – choosing to look at the macrocosm instead of the microcosm. Using your precious gift of creativity, listening to uplifting music, reading uplifting books, and setting boundaries to shield yourself are more ways to raise your vibrations and lift your consciousness.” “Speaking of shielding, it’s a good idea every morning to place a protective White Light shield around you for protection, as well as inviting the devic, nature, angelic and galactic realms to walk your day with you, although all things galactic will be part of that later discussion.” “Okay, I can wait again, but what’s a devic?” Malachite gave his low rumbling chuckle. “I’m a proud, card-carrying member of the devic realm, Youngling. It’s a vast realm, encompassing such beautiful beings as faeries, dragons, leprechauns, elves, trolls, unicorns – the list goes on and on and can be found in all cultures.” “Sorry about that, Malachite. This is all new to me, but getting back to your Raise-Your-Vibration List, that’s it? They don’t sound too difficult.” Malachite glanced at Barachiel. “Might I, B?” When she nodded, he said, “There are a few more things that will help raise your vibration. Forgiveness is huge, and is often challenging for humans. If you’ve been wronged, no one is asking you to face the perpetrator and forgive them. Words are illusions. Truly forgive them in your heart, mind and soul, for carrying around grudges and hurt would be like shouldering a huge bolder while trying to run up a mountainside. Dump the boulder; dump the grudges and hurts. They will hold you back from where you want to go.” “But just as importantly, practice self-forgiveness every single day. Humans are generally more critical of themselves than they are of others. When you realize that you are tearing yourself down over something, say, STOP! No more! I am a child of the Divine, and I’m doing the best that I can.” Like forgiveness, self-forgiveness may need to be practiced all day, every day.” “Accept yourself as you are, and once you are able to do that, embrace yourself as you are. Remind yourself that you were extremely brave to have come to Earth at this time, and some days – many days – it takes enormous courage just to get out of bed and put one foot in front of the other in order to start a new day. Try a little self-compassion with that self-love. No matter your perceived flaws, for they are also illusions, you are perfect just as you are, which is also challenging for many humans, especially if they grew up with constant criticism, or a strict religious background. Self-love is as crucial as self-forgiveness. All three are needed in order to raise your consciousness.” Ginger gulped. “The rules seem to be getting harder,” she admitted. Malachite smiled gently at the young girl. “There are no rules, Ginger. Another illusion, but with time, you will understand that.” He peered at her. “Tell me. Do you like to laugh? Dance? Sing? Bike? Swim? Go out into nature? Hug a tree? Love on animals? Help others?” Ginger’s concern seemed to fade, and she smiled. “Yes to all of those! I take it those are all good?” Malachite nodded. “Yep. Each and every one of them. As you can see, there are a multitude of things you can do to raise your consciousness, but I wanted to highlight two others: Live your life within an Attitude of Gratitude, and Love Unconditionally. Both will help you get to where you want to go.” (Excerpted from Barachiel, The Archangel Chronicles © Marty Boyle 2025. All Rights Reserved.) /www.martyboyle.com |
