The Ural Mountains Russia Malachite smiled gently at the young girl. “There are no rules, Ginger. Another illusion, but with time, you will understand that.” He peered at her. “Tell me. Do you like to laugh? Dance? Sing? Bike? Swim? Go out into nature? Hug a tree? Love on animals? Help others?” Ginger’s concern seemed to fade, and she smiled. “Yes to all of those! I take it those are all good?” Malachite nodded. “Yep. Each and every one of them. As you can see, there are a multitude of things you can do to raise your consciousness, but I wanted to highlight two others: Live your life within an Attitude of Gratitude, and Love Unconditionally. Both will help you get to where you want to go.” Barachiel added, “Remember our conversation that Joy, like Anger and Shame, is a deliberate conscious choice and you must choose to either live in Love or Fear?” When Ginger nodded, the angel continued. “By choosing to live your life in Fear, you are choosing the microcosm of Ego and Drama. By choosing to live your life in Love, you embrace the macrocosm of Love and Compassion. This is a tough one for humans because if they’re having what they perceive as a bad day – another illusion – they may be cranky, and thus remain in the microcosm, being miserable, choosing Fear. The next day, things may be going their way, and they claim to have chosen to live in Love. The problem with that is that you can’t straddle the fence between the two. Bad day or great day, you must make the choice and stick with it.” Malachite leaned down and whispered in Ginger’s ear. “Personally, I’d go with the Love choice. Fear cannot get you where you want to go, but Love can.” “What does that actually look like in the 3-D world?” The dragon thought for a moment. “Take it a day at a time. Each morning, remind yourself that you are making the choice of living your life in Love for that day. Then, when a disappointment arises, remember your choice, and perhaps say to yourself, “Now, isn’t that interesting that happened to me at this time? Maybe there’s a lesson for me within it.” Souls choose challenges for the lessons with it for soul growth, so you would be wise to figure out the lesson and learn it. Once done, you no longer face the challenge – unless your soul wants to learn more from it.” Barachiel nodded and picked up Ginger’s hand. “Which brings us neatly to our next point. Your soul chooses the challenges you face in a lifetime, whether they be small like falling off your bike and breaking your leg, or something catastrophic like the death of a beloved pet or an undiagnosed congenital heart defect, resulting in an early death.” Ginger’s eyes widened, and for a long moment, sat lost within her thoughts. Finally, Malachite broke the silence. “That’s a pretty heavy topic for such a glorious day, B.” Ginger didn’t appear to have heard the dragon, but Barachiel nodded. “I think we need to stretch our legs and take a walk,” she said, as she gracefully rose to her feet. “What do you think, Ginger?” Ginger nodded, but remained seated. Barachiel and Malachite exchanged glances. “You know, B, I’m looking around this mountain ledge, and there aren’t many walking paths available. How about if we travel to a favorite spot of mine, and soak up the sunshine?” “That sounds wonderful!” the archangel replied. “What do you think, Ginger?” Finally, Ginger seemed to come out of her solitude. “Wherever you want to go is okay with me,” she said quietly. Again, the angel and dragon exchanged glances. Some type of communication passed between them, and a moment later, Malachite stood up, as well, and stretched out his mighty wings. “Of course, we could travel by thought, but I’m feeling the need for another flight. Would you be up for another ride, Youngling?” Ginger smiled softly. “That sounds lovely, Malachite. Thank you.” Malachite snorted. “Lovely? That’s the best response you can make for another indescribably fabulous dragon ride with an indescribably fabulous dragon? No ‘Yippee ki yay’ or ‘That would be awesome, Malachite!’?” Ginger scrambled to her feet, suddenly fretting that she might have upset her two friends. “Sorry about the funk. I guess I must have a few unresolved issues about that last lifetime of mine.” She managed a smile and pasted it to her face. The phrase Fake it ‘til you make it came to mind. Taking a deep breath, Ginger straightened her spine, and her voice grew stronger. “I would love another ride, Malachite!” Ginger’s face dropped and she gazed at the dragon solemnly. “Trouble is, I don’t remember how to get on your back.” The dragon looked stunned for a moment, but then nodded. “Well, first, you have to …” “GOTCHA!” Ginger yelled, as she sat proudly on his back. “The score is now 2-1!” “MY favor!” Malachite grinned. “Now, that’s the human I know and love!” He paused. “B, we’ll meet you there, okay?” When Barachiel nodded, he looked back at Ginger. “You ready? Let’s split this pop stand!” “Born ready, Dragon!” Instantly and effortlessly, the mighty beast lifted into the sky. Once again, Ginger was filled with Joy, Love and Compassion. A special peace descended upon her, and she glanced at the dragon, suspecting it was another gift from him. He turned and winked, confirming her suspicions. Suddenly, she could hear Malachite’s thoughts. Let it all go, Ginger. Just enjoy our ride together. We’ll be there soon! Again, all too soon, dragon and rider began their descent onto a wildflower field, flourishing under brilliant sunshine amidst a deep Peace. When they landed, Ginger sent a thought to Malachite. I can’t get down, Malachite. I seem to be stuck somehow. Malachite snorted. “Ha! You can’t prank me a second time with that old line, Ginger! Now, come on down. I have something to show you.” “Seriously, Malachite. My foot is stuck under one of your scales. How do I release it?” The dragon turned his head, no longer laughing. “My scales? How could you possibly be stuck? Just pull your foot out …” “GOTCHA!” Ginger cried. Instantly, she was standing next to Malachite, grinning. “I believe that ties the game, 2-2.” Malachite gaped at who was becoming his favorite human. “Ha! Well, I’ll be hornswoggled, Youngling, but you did give as good as you got! I’m just going to have to up my game in order to win this little competition!” Ginger grinned, and gazed around the field. “It’s beautiful, but it could also be a wildflower field in Iowa.” She paused. “Where’s Barachiel?” “She’s meeting us there, giving us some chat time as we walk. Shall we begin?” Ginger smiled, nodded, and they set off. “I know bringing up your early death as a decision that your soul made was unsettling, but, as I understand it, you are a recent arrival from the physical realm. This is your time to rest from your that lifetime – a bit of RR&R – rest, relaxation, and review.” Ginger nodded solemnly. “I wondered when Judgment Day was going to come. After that RR&R?” Malachite shook his head sadly. “There is no Judgment Day, beloved Youngling. It is another human paradigm that needs to go. There is no judgment or punishment for perceived sins. The review allows you to view your past life from that Higher Perspective, so you can continue to learn from the experiences you had chosen. As Elias told you, you lived a most remarkable life of Love, Courage and Compassion – one to be celebrated – no matter its length. Once you have fully rested, then your soul can make the decision of whether or not to return to physicality or pursue other avenues of learning.” “Avenues of learning? Like what?” Malachite smiled. “There are countless opportunities for a soul who wishes to continue to experience other lifetimes. You could choose to return to Earth or tackle other possibilities.” When Ginger looked confused, Malachite patted her hand. “But that is a …” “… discussion for another time!” Ginger grinned at her dragon friend, and almost bumped into him when he stopped suddenly. He smiled at her and pointed. There, ahead of them was an exquisite waterfall. Its sparkling waters dancing off the cliff, cascading some thirty feet below onto large boulders. Ginger gasped in delight. “That is gorgeous!” she finally said. “Could we move closer?” When Malachite nodded, they walked up to it. Barachiel suddenly appeared next to them. “Enjoy your ride?” she asked. Ginger grinned. “Yep, and the Gotcha score is now officially 2-2, so it was a win-win!” She continued to gaze at the mesmerizing flow of rushing water. Suddenly, a park bench appeared, and Barachiel pointed to it. “Let’s sit for a moment and continue our conversation.” While Ginger and the archangel sat, Malachite contentedly stretched out his immense body near the bench. For a long moment, the trio took in the sight. Finally, Barachiel broke the silence. “We have one more topic to discuss with Malachite,” she began. Ginger’s face fell. “We have to leave soon? I can’t bear the thought of losing Malachite in my life or death or whatever this RR&R thing is.” The dragon spoke quietly to the young girl. “Didn’t Áhkku tell you that you could return anytime once the quest is over?” Once Ginger nodded, he continued. “Our goodbye will not be final, either, but temporary. Any time you want to see me, just close your eyes and imagine yourself here. I’m always available to you for further dragon rides!” “But what if I choose another human lifetime? Our connection will be severed, and I’ll forget you!” She paused, trying to quell her panic. “Won’t I?” “Youngling, no matter what choice you make, we will always be connected. I promise you will not only feel our connection, but you will always have access to me. Promise.” Ginger looked a bit mollified by his words, and finally nodded. “Before we leave, what is our final topic of discussion?” Barachiel smiled. “Power.” “Power?” Ginger repeated. “As in Malachite’s great dragon power? Or your great archangel power? I’ve seen both repeatedly during this quest. They’re pretty awesome.” Malachite smiled and flexed an impressive arm, causing Ginger to giggle. “Actually,” he began, we’d like to talk to you about your own awesome power. The power you have now, but also had during your lifetime.” “Hmm,” Ginger began. “I can’t see my power being anything like both of yours, but I suppose that’s another paradigm that I have to release.” Barachiel nodded. “I know you may find this challenging to consider, but you have within you just as much power as we do. Do you recall that none of us are superior or inferior to each other?” When Ginger nodded, the angel continued. “It’s the same with power. The difference is that our dragon friend here and I use our power, while you and humanity generally hide your power.” “Why would we do that?” “That question is complicated, and I know you’re probably tired of hearing it, but I promise to answer that on another stop of our quest.” “In a spiritual sense, you brought your personal power with you when you incarnated. All sentient beings possess this power. It’s the ability of the mind to influence reality, often through thought and belief. Your scientists know of the power of the mind – such as a small woman lifting an automobile in order to free her child underneath it. But the power that we speak of goes beyond that of the mind. I know that’s quite a bit to process, but can you understand it?” When Ginger nodded tentatively, the angel continued. “Humanity has no idea of the depth of the power contained within each of them. It is our hope that when they come to this understanding at long last, humanity will finally come into their own, and cast off the shackles that have held them back for millennia.” Ginger thought a moment, gazing at Malachite. “So, I’m guessing that I used my power when I jumped on and off your back?” Malachite smiled. “Exactly. And that was just one small way you could use your personal power. You see, the human mind, spirit and physical world are interconnected with the Universe, just like all sentient beings. When you tap into your power, you are tapping into Universal energies.” “Does humanity understand this, but I just never got the memo?” Ginger asked. “Remember our Indigo discussion, Beloved?” Barachiel asked. When Ginger nodded, she continued. “Some Star Kids – especially the later ones – came into this world, not only knowing that, but using it for the tasks they had agreed to tackle. Others like you, had other tasks to complete, so that understanding was not chosen by your soul, but you know it now.” The archangel paused. “It is Archangel Michael’s wish that you not only better understand the magnificent, powerful human that you used to be, but the magnificent, powerful spirit you have always been. Once you believe that, it is our hope you will consider helping other kids – Star Kids or not – to learn to find and use their own personal power. Simply, it is the Power of Divine Personal Power.” “Me?” squeaked Ginger. “How would I help them learn how to do that?’ Barachiel thought a moment. “We talked at length about how to raise consciousness by increasing vibrations. It’s the same list for honing personal power: meditation, mindfulness, intention/attention, spiritual practices – the whole shebang! Once humanity has tapped into their power, they will find that they can more easily heal, manifest, and help with raising Collective Consciousness. As we said before, Star Kids have come to help humanity move that evolution forward. That is how they can do just that, but you don’t have to be a Star Kid – anyone can do it!” Malachite leaned forward and said softly, “Ginger, I have a gift for you. It will not only remind you of our fabulous time together, but will help you hone that beautiful power of yours.” And with that, the dragon handed his young friend an exquisite gemstone of varying shades of green, hanging from a delicate, silver chain. It caught the sun’s rays, and glistened. Ginger was delighted. “This must be malachite. It looks just like you!” she whispered, gazing at the stone, and then up at her massive friend. The dragon nodded. “Malachite absorbs negative energies, promotes emotional healing, and helps with transformation and spiritual growth.” He paused. “Go on, Ginger. It’s yours.” Ginger slowly took the gem, turning it over and over, marveling at its beauty. She placed the necklace over her head, and felt the power emanating from it, filling her with what she could only describe as Dragon Love. She lifted her gaze to her dragon friend, a tear streaking her cheek. “I am deeply grateful, Malachite – for everything you have done for me, as well as the gift of this beautiful gemstone. Thank you.” Ginger turned to the archangel. “I know we have to move on, but I will miss my favorite dragon!” Malachite wiped a tear from his own eye and joined it with her own. “We are now one, Ginger. Come back any time you wish. I’ll always make time in my busy social schedule for you. Besides, we have many more exciting adventures ahead of us!” Ginger leaned into the dragon, hugging him as best as she could. “I will be back, Malachite. I love you. Thank you.” “I love you, as well, Youngling. Until next time.” Swirling mist suddenly started to engulfed them, and Ginger knew their time was ending. She suddenly turned to Barachiel. “I’m not leaving!” she cried. “I just can’t leave Malachite! I’m not going!” The dragon’s eyes widened with alarm, and he said, “But, Ginger, you have to complete your quest!” As the mist continued to deepen, Ginger suddenly roared with laughter. “GOTCHA!” she cried. “I win!” And in a heartbeat amidst a small whooshing sound, Ginger and Barachiel disappeared, leaving a grinning dragon behind.
