Chapter 7, Part 2 Forest Glade England “That’s pretty mind blowing. School was hard for me. Is it hard for you?” “Not at all. I enjoy my time in school, and can resolve any negativity within it. Remember, your Indigo rebellious nature fought against institutions like schools and learning what you deemed inconsequential information. You were a warrior. I just fearlessly embrace Life, and all that comes my way. As a Rainbow, I am in total alignment with Source and deeply intuitive – what you might call psychic. And that’s how I know all about you, Ginger!” Claire paused and gazed at Ginger for a long moment. “But, in the great scheme of things, we are all connected as multidimensional beings – regardless of whether or not our souls made the choice to be a Star Child.” For a long moment, birdsong was all that filled the glade. Finally, Barachiel rose to her feet. “I think my input here is no longer needed, so I’m going to leave for a bit to allow you to get better acquainted. Ginger, you had told me that you never felt that any of your friends in that Iowa lifetime understood and accepted you as you are. I believe you have now found such a friend.” She paused. “Besides, I want to get back to Michael of Archangel Fame and update him on our quest. There would be no reason to drag you along with me. Enjoy the beauty of the forest and this time together, and I will join you later.” “Barachiel, please don’t feel as if you have to leave,” Ginger protested. “I love having you around. I hope I didn’t give you another impression.” Claire spoke gently. “Let her go, Ginger. I have you. Brody has you, and Barachiel will return!” When Ginger nodded, the archangel disappeared. And in her place sat Sadie, her beloved dog. After a shocked moment, Ginger squealed with delight. “Sadie!” Immediately, the dog jumped into her lap, joyfully licking Ginger’s face, pushing her onto her back. “My sweet girl! How are you here?” After several moments of bliss on the part of both dog and spirit human, Ginger looked at Claire. “Is Sadie still alive in Iowa or is this Sadie in spirit form?” Claire smiled gently. “Your family was heartbroken to learn that Sadie had tumors, and died soon after her diagnosis. This is the pure spirit Sadie, who can be with you whenever you wish.” “I cannot thank you enough, Claire. I am deeply grateful if you arranged this.” “Sadie and I arranged it together.” “Sadie and you arranged it together?” “Yes. I’ll prove it. Close your eyes and reach out to her through your heart-mind.” Heart mind?” Claire nodded. “Think through your heart, not your mind. Go on, try it.” Ginger, continued to rub her precious dog, but did as Claire suggested. When she had quieted her excited mind, she thought, I love you so much, Sadie! Instantly, a reply came into her mind: I have always loved you, Ginger! Ginger’s eyes flew open as tear flowed freely, streaking her cheeks. You can understand me? I’ve always been able to understand you. You just didn’t realize it until now. I recently passed, so now I can be with you in spirit form. I am just as excited to be with you as you are to be with me! Ginger sniffled a bit more, as she watched Sadie move to Brody, where they sniffed each other, tails wagging excitedly. Claire laughed, as each returned to their mistresses and stretched out. “Well, I guess it’s obvious that they will also be best friends!” Ginger nodded and hugged Sadie again. Keeping her hand on her beloved dog, she turned to Claire. “Thank you so much!” She paused. “You told me to use my heart-mind. Can you talk more about that?” “I have a deer friend, whom I am hoping you’ll meet. He is better suited to answer your question, I promise.” “A dear friend?” Claire giggled and touched the camera around her neck. “Yes. I suspect that you’ll meet him soon.” “So, you’re a photographer on top of everything else in your life? Can you also walk on water?” Claire giggled again. “Yes, and no, although I’ve never tried that. I have the distinct feeling that I would just get wet, but who knows? My gifts are still in development like my photos! Uncle Earl, my dad’s brother, gave me the camera several years ago when he thought I had an eye for photography. It’s an old fashioned type that requires darkroom development processing. When he gave it to me, Puppa and I transformed part of our basement so that I could develop my own film. I not only love to take photos, but also love the process of developing them. As a result, I bring my trusty camera with me whenever I spend time in these woods.” “I would love to see your photos someday.” “Sure! I’d be happy to share them with you.” Claire paused. “Let me tell you a story about one photo that I snapped that means the most to me. One beautiful summer morning, a couple of years ago, I happily filled an entire roll of film, taking shots of these beautiful woods. That afternoon, I took the roll to my darkroom and developed the photos. After they had dried, I looked through them, pleased with what I had shot. Suddenly, I came upon one, and my heart jumped. In the background, within the foliage, I saw the face of a boy, who looked to be about my age, returning my gaze.” Claire paused, her eyes on Ginger. “Cool,” Ginger said, confusion filling her face. “Was the boy a neighbor?” Claire gently shook her head. “No, I had never seen him before, but that wasn’t the amazing part of this story.” Ginger raised her eyebrows, but waited patiently, hoping that Claire would finish her story. After another moment, Claire spoke. “Maybe instead of finishing the story, you’d like to experience him yourself?’ Experience? More confused than ever, Ginger nodded, trusting her new friend. Claire picked up Ginger’s hands and held them. “That’s good, Ginger, because he’s standing behind you, but before you turn, please do not startle him. He’s very shy.” Ginger nodded again, her curiosity now piqued even more. Claire squeezed Ginger’s hands and released them, allowing Ginger to slowly turn around. When she did, her eyes widened and her jaw dropped. Again. There, his body hidden by foliage, stood a boy who looked about her own age. He seemed to be as tall as Ginger, as well, with thick, dark blonde hair that swept across his forehead, and fell to his shoulders. His eyes were dark brown with thick lashes that anyone might wish to claim. The teenager’s tanned face showcased a sprinkling of freckles across his nose. He did not smile, but solemnly watched the stranger standing before him. Ginger continued to study the boy, and suddenly, stifled a gasp, so as not to startle him. It took her a heartbeat to compose herself as she gazed at what appeared to be five-inch antlers gracing the boy’s head. Suddenly, squirrels raced through the woods, chittering happily, and his head swung up, and his soft, reddish-brown velvety ears cocked to attention. He chuckled softly when he realized the cause of his startlement. Claire smiled. “Theo, I’d like you to meet my friend, Ginger. Ginger, this is my dear friend, Theo!” For a long moment, Ginger remained dumbstruck – but with what? Curiosity, certainly, but then she realized that the emotions were Love and unmitigated Joy. She softly cleared her throat and smiled at the boy. “Hello, Theo,” she said. “I am grateful that you’ve come to visit us.” Another long moment passed as Ginger and Theo locked eyes. Finally, he spoke softly. “Claire told me you were coming, and I wanted to meet you.” Claire smiled at the boy and said, “Theo, would you like to move out of the foliage and come closer to us?” Again, Theo stood in thought, assessing the situation. Finally, he nodded and slowly moved out from behind the trees and into the glade. Once again, Ginger stifled a gasp, because there, before her, stood what could only be termed a magnificent deer centaur. From his waist up, as well as his arms, Theo appeared to be perfectly human – other than his growing antlers and ears. From the waist down, Theo was a perfectly formed deer – a beautiful reddish-brown color with white spots on his back. His legs were long and slender for speed and endurance, and ended with delicate cloven hooves. In short, Theo was magnificent. Not wishing to stare at the boy, making him uncomfortable, Ginger turned to Claire. “Thank you for trusting me enough to share this experience with you.” Claire smiled, understanding that Ginger’s mind was still reeling. “Why don’t we sit down so that we can continue our talk with Theo, since I suspect that he overheard our conversation.” She glanced at her deer friend, who nodded solemnly. Claire smiled, and then walked over to the middle of the sunlit glade and gracefully sat. Brody followed, and pushed his head under Claire’s hand for maximum rubbing opportunities. Ginger glanced at Theo, hoping he would join them, and then sat near Claire and Brody, Sadie following. Theo watched the two girls for a long moment, and then timidly joined them, neatly tucking his legs beneath him. Ginger continued to gaze at the boy, even as she chided herself for staring. Finally, she shook off the awe and spoke, knowing that such awe would only hamper this incredible experience. “I am honored that you came to meet me today, Theo. I would appreciate hearing anything you might wish to share. Archangel Barachiel and I are on a quest together, and I am learning far more about the world and Universe than I had ever done so during the course of my human lifetime. I hope to learn a great deal from you.” Theo nodded, but another long moment passed before he began to speak. “Any friend of Barachiel’s and Claire’s is a friend of mine,” he began softly. “I am honored to meet you, as well, Ginger.” He paused. “Perhaps, you would like to learn about me? I can see that your mind is full of questions, but I know – as does Claire – that your heart is pure, so you may ask me anything, and I will do my best to answer. Go ahead, Ginger. Ask.” Ginger glanced between the two, amazed at the gift she had just been given. She took a deep breath and asked, “Are you a deer centaur?” Theo nodded. “Yes, although a better name would be a cervitaur [SER-vih-tawr]. It comes from the Latin cervid, meaning deer, and taur, taken from centaur. The scientific name came from early Italian mythology and the ancient Etruscans. They referred to those like me as elaphocentaurs [eh-LAF-oh-sen-tawrs]. Elaphos is the Greek word for deer, added to centaur. You can still see us in early Etruscan and Roman art, although our description has varied over the centuries, depending upon human artist perception. Because elaphocentaurs is a mouthful, it might be easier for you to think of me as a cervitaur.” Theo paused. “Claire tells me that the term cervitaur is common in modern fantasy literature and gaming, so the old becomes new again.” “A cervitaur,” Ginger mused softly. “That’s an apt description of you. On the last stop of our quest, I made friends with an amazing dragon, Malachite. He told me that many beings like angels and dragons generally hail from the 4th and 5th dimension. Is the cervitaur realm there, as well?” Theo smiled. “On this precious quest, have you yet learned that anyone can ascend to a higher dimension by the raising of vibrational frequencies?” When Ginger nodded, he continued. “To answer your question, you can find many of us in those realms, but if we wish to ascend further, we simply continue to raise our vibrations – just like you.” “If you don’t mind my asking, what brought you to this dense, chaotic 3rd dimensional world?” “It’s simple, really. Beings from across all Universes and dimensions were invited to come to Earth at this pivotal moment to help raise humanity’s Collective Consciousness in order to Ascend into the 5th dimension. I wanted to be a part of that sacred task, so requested permission to do so. In return, all that I learn during my time here will be shared with the Multiverse, which will aid in its own Ascension. Humanity is not alone in this endeavor.” “Wow. I have to say, Theo, that while you look 15 like we do, you sure don’t sound 15.” Ginger paused, thinking of Áhkku. “You sound as if you have the wisdom of an elder.” “Birthdays and the number of years someone has lived is only important on Earth and its linear time frame. I am timeless, but I must add that you and Claire are also timeless. You may think you are only 15, but you have lived countless numbers of lives over millennia. Some of your lifetimes were for seconds for whatever experiences you had chosen, while others were for decades for the same reason: personal chosen experiences. One day, as the Universe and humanity continue to raise their Collective Consciousness, humans will live hundreds of years in a lifetime, and dis-ease will be no more. The old way of thinking – paradigms that no longer serve you – will fall by the wayside, and new ways of thinking will take its place.” “I have a question for you, Ginger,” he continued. “Why couldn’t a five or ten-year old child not carry the wisdom of the Universe? You have an expression: Wisdom comes with age. That is true only on your planet.” “You seem to be the perfect example, Theo. It’s another paradigm crashing around my ankles.” Ginger turned to Claire. “I don’t want to hog this conversation, Claire. Forgive me if I have.” Claire’s lilting laughter rang through the glade. “Trust me, Ginger. If I want to give my opinion or share my thoughts, I’ll jump in. Unlike my deer friend, I am not shy! Until such time, ask Theo all you want. That’s why he’s here. You have things to learn and he has things to teach. A perfect match!” Ginger nodded and turned back to the magnificent cervitaur. “Barachiel told me when we first met that she could appear in any form that was needed for a particular situation. I’m wondering if being a spirit, you can do the same.” Theo nodded and softly smiled, thrilling Ginger to her core. “Yes. That’s an interesting question. Why do you ask?” “Please forgive me if this is rude, but why a cervitaur? Why not choose to be a butterfly or a hummingbird?” “No question is out of bounds, Ginger. An important criteria in making that decision was the ability to speak so that I might share my Truth with humanity. But the main reason was to showcase the Divine Power of Innocence. My deer form is the perfect vehicle for that. Deer are universally known for gentleness and grace. They represent intuition and sensitivity, and by shedding antlers, symbolize rebirth and renewal. By combining the human form with that of the deer, I become a creature with the groundedness and strength of a human, paired with the sensitivity and intuition of a deer. Hence, the cervitaur. What better vehicle could I have found to share my wisdom of the Power of Divine Innocence?” (Excerpted from Barachiel, The Archangel Chronicles © Marty Boyle 2025.
