We are living in extraordinary times—crucial eras of great shifts and
transformation. Many believe that this is a period quite pivotal to our
very survival on the planet and to the planet itself. It is of paramount
importance that we as a species unite, and experience a quantum evolutionary
leap in human consciousness. The question is: how?
What if you had discovered a form of technology that had the
potential to unite the world and bring peace to the planet? What if
you’d found a technique for sounding the personal name of God that
could change the world? What would you do? This was my dilemma
once I had made the discovery. It began with a dream and now unfolds
in this book.

a better planet. Included with this book is an interactive instructional

energy of the Divine Name.
I have been personally engaged in sound healing since 1980, helping
pioneer this field. In 1982, I founded the Sound Healers Association,
the first organization dedicated to research on, and awareness of, the
uses of sound and music for healing and transformation. Several years
later, after studying and working with masters of sound from both the
scientific and spiritual fields, I received a master’s degree from Lesley
University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, concentrating on this subject.
Soon after, I began teaching this material for the first time. My study
and research continue to this day, as do my personal discoveries.
In my investigation into this field, I’ve explored a wide variety of
different modalities of sound that could positively shift and change the
body, mind, and spirit—everything from modern scientific devices to
ancient mystical instruments and chants, all reputed to create healing
and transformation. Of all the vehicles for effecting positive change that
I’ve encountered, the most potent has been the use of our own voice.
And of all the ways of using our voice, the single most powerful sound
that I’ve discovered and utilized has been that of the Divine Name. It is
now my great honor to share this discovery with you.
The premise of Ascension Harmonics is this: There is a universal
sound that when properly intoned can bring us harmony and healing on
both a personal and a planetary level. The fact that this vocalization is
composed of vowels that can resonate both the physical body and subtle
energy fields and that, when properly intoned, it sounds strikingly like
the personal name of God found in the Abrahamic traditions (Judaism,
Christianity, Islam) is purely coincidental. Or is it?
My purpose in writing this book is simple: to share what may be
the most profound and advanced technique for healing and transformation
that I’ve encountered. It’s easy to use—no prior experience is
necessary. It calls for no external mechanism and involves only your
voice, heart, and spirit. It doesn’t require extensive training—you’ll
be able to experience
and utilize it in a matter of hours. And the
users’ manual—this book—is straightforward. Learning to sound the
Divine Name will lead to a new consciousness, and a life-changing
new way of being. This technology may even lead to a new level of
evolution for the world.
Legend has it that proper and reverential sounding of the Divine
Name could bring one into contact with the ultimate Divine Creator
being itself. Some believe that the actual act of the universe’s creation
occurred with this sound. The Divine Name was once said to have
been known, but this knowledge disappeared nearly 2,500 years ago.
It became prohibited to sound the Divine Name when reading the Old
Testament, the religious text that links more than half of the world’s
population. The Divine Name became secret, and then it became lost.
No one knew how it was actually pronounced. Its sound became pure
speculation.
What exactly is the Divine Name?
This four-letter name of God is often referred to as the Tetragrammaton.
It has been translated into English as YHVH, Yahweh, and even
Jehovah. However, none of these are accurate. No one has known the
correct name, since its exact pronunciation was lost millennia ago . . .
that is, until now!
In truth, the Divine Name—the Tetragrammaton—as I interpret
it, is composed purely of vowels. This sequence of vowels can resonate
both the physical and subtle energy centers of anyone who intones it.
Thus, the Divine Name is transdenominational—applicable to all traditions
of belief—and something that can be experienced by anyone who
follows the simple guidelines of this book. You’ll learn how you can utilize
the Divine Name as an extraordinary tool for both personal and
planetary healing and transformation.
The Divine Name requires no musical ability. Rather, it is a self created
sound that must be intoned to be experienced. It is the most
extraordinary vibratory energy I have encountered in my more than
forty-five years of research and investigation into the field of sound
healing. The ability to create this sound has nothing to do with musical
ability. You don’t need to read notes or understand music theory.
You certainly don’t need to be able to play an instrument. And you
most definitely don’t need to be a trained singer or even be able to
carry a tune in a bucket to experience the power of the lost name
of God.
This book is a step-by-step process of vibratory activation using
sacred sound. It is divided into four parts:
• In Part I, you’ll explore the discoveries and revelations of the
Divine Name. You’ll learn the complete story of how the sound
of the Divine Name came to me, and what my explorations of the
sacred texts of the Old Testament revealed about its validity, not
only as vowel sounds but also as the personal name of God that
was delivered to Moses. You’ll understand how and why this most
sacred of sounds became prohibited, then hidden, and finally lost.
You’ll realize why this secret and most venerated name needs to
manifest now in the current world in which we live, and you’ll
find out what uncovering this forgotten sound can mean on both
a personal and planetary level.
• In Part II, you’ll explore the extraordinary power of sacred
sound. You’ll discover the scientific and spiritual aspects of
sound for healing and self-transformation—focusing on the
power of sound and consciousness and how various traditions
on this planet regard sound as the original creative force. You’ll
delve into an exploration of the importance of intent and prayer
to co-create reality. You’ll also learn about the sacred vowels and
their ability to resonate with, balance, and align our chakras
from the Hindu tradition; and to channel Divine energies from
the kabbalistic traditions. You’ll grow in awareness of how the
Divine Name can be utilized for healing and self-transformation,
and why the consciousness encoded upon this sound
amplifies its power.
• Part III is a step-by-step process of vibratory activation focusing
on sonic exercises designed to teach you how to intone the Divine
Name. You’ll begin by experiencing the power of vowels to resonate
your chakras, and progress to being able to sound the Divine
Name using a special series of vowels. As previously noted, I’ve
created an accompanying audio program that will allow you to
hear the actual sounds you’ll be working with, which will greatly
enhance your learning process. This is an interactive recording,
designed to be used in conjunction with Part III.
• Part IV of this book is the culmination of the purpose for learning
to sound the Divine Name. Once you’ve mastered how to
vocalize the Divine Name, you’ll focus on the final step in receiving
the ultimate benefit of the Divine Name: You will experience
the power and majesty of this extraordinary sound as a tool for
manifesting a new form of universal prayer for both personal and
planetary healing and self-transformation.
• Part V of this book I’ve titled “Encore.” In it, I describe the
numerous experiences I’ve had and the new knowledge that I’ve
acquired since the initial publication of this book over fifteen
years ago. I trust that these new teachings will further assist and
enhance your embodying the power of the Divine Name.
In these pages, you’ll encounter a journey of self-discovery that can
change your life. With the revelation of the Divine Name and the technique
