Claire, Ginger & Barachiel begin a cosmic conversation.)
Chapter 8
Sunny Meadow
Earth
It was not a quiet little group that landed in the meadow. Sadie and Brody barked their delight as they launched into the meadow for a game of chase. Claire, unaccustomed to Angel Travel, squealed with delight as she gazed at the beauty of the meadow. Everywhere she and Ginger looked, they saw brightly colored wildflowers of every type and description. They looked longingly at Barachiel, who smiled and nodded at the her young companions, allowing them to explore their surroundings to their hearts’ content.
The two friends walked arm in arm through the meadow, stopping often to talk with the beautiful flowers. When they told the black-eyed Susans how beautiful they were, the girls were delighted to see their bright yellow petals and dark brown centers, reach toward them. When the purple and yellow coneflowers seemed to bob with delight at the girls’ touch, Ginger and Claire glanced at each other.
Quietly, Ginger asked, “They’re responding to us, aren’t they?”
Claire nodded. “It sure seems to be the case.”
With their new understanding, the two continued through the meadow, making sure to send Love and Compassion to all. They walked over to the blue, purple and white asters, which had just started to bloom with the waning of summer. Purple, yellow and blue lupine spires seemed to call to them, as well as the small white flowers of the yarrow. The girls were enchanted with the coreopsis with its yellow blossoms, blanket flowers with their vibrant red and yellows, and wild geraniums in shades of pink to lavender. Finally, they turned and walked back to Barachiel.
“They’re all so lovely!” Claire exclaimed. “Thank you so much for allowing Brody and me to remain a part of your group!”
Barachiel smiled. “You’ve always been a part of our group, Claire, although you had yet to learn of it. You are just as integral to our sacred task as is Ginger.”
The dogs suddenly dashed through, happily barking and chasing each other, causing all of them to chuckle. “Even Brody and Sadie are integral with their unmitigated Joy.” The angel paused. “You might think of our little group as a collective.”
Ginger’s brows furrowed. “We’ve heard that word several times now with Collective Consciousness, but I’m not exactly sure what collective means.”
“Instead of providing you with a definition, I suggest the two of you figure it out.” Barachiel smiled and waited.
Claire and Ginger exchanged glances. Finally, Claire spoke.
“Let’s start with the word collection. What do we know about that word?”
“I’d define it as a bunch of stuff!” Ginger replied, giggling. “Like a kid’s toy collection with dolls or jump ropes or stuffed animals or cowboy hats. The toys are obviously not all the same, but they have something in common – they’re all objects for a kid’s play.”
Claire nodded. “I think the key phrase there is something in common. Maybe a collective takes it a step further.”
“How so?” Ginger asked.
Claire looked at Barachiel and giggled. “My first clue is that an archangel used it, so it must imply something deeper than just a bunch of people. I think a collective would have a higher purpose, but that’s just a hunch on my part.”
Ginger interrupted. “Yes, but, the question is: what do we share in common? And what is that purpose? We have one archangel, one nonphysical girl with her nonphysical dog, and one physical girl with her physical dog.”
Sudden realization hit Claire, and she held Ginger’s hands in excitement. “We’ve been asked to complete a sacred task – to aid in humanity’s rise of Consciousness! That’s our shared purpose!”
Ginger grinned. “And how exactly will Brody and Sadie be a part of that task?”
Claire paused a moment and then replied, “Both of our beloved dogs hold great amounts of Love, Joy, and Compassion within them. Barachiel called it their unmitigated Joy. What better criteria would there be for inclusion into our collective?”
Ginger nodded, and turned to Barachiel. “We did it, didn’t we?”
Barachiel smiled. “First, I need to hear your definition.”
Claire took a deep breath and replied, “A collective is a group – entities, angels, humans, spirits, and what not – who share something in common – a common goal or sacred task. We are connected through that something, and work toward that specific task – in our case, helping with humanity’s rise of Collective Consciousness.” She paused, glancing at Ginger, who nodded her approval.
“We nailed it, didn’t we, Barachiel?”
Once again, the archangel smiled and nodded. “Do you remember how Malachite defined Collective Consciousness?”
Claire giggled. “I know I hadn’t met you yet, but the voices in my head say: Humanity is tasked with raising and then maintaining those vibrations – lifting the Collective Consciousness, which is just a fancy way of saying to raise the vibrations of everyone and everything on the planet.” She grinned at Ginger, and gently lifted her friend’s dropped jaw back into place.
“Voices in my head?” Ginger squeaked. “Is there anything else about you that you haven’t told me, but what might be good for me to know?”
Claire laughed. “You know I have my friends, the Clairs, but you never specifically asked about them helping me connect with my guides.” She paused, still giggling, and turned back to the archangel.
“We came up with a great definition, didn’t we, Barachiel?”
“I’m very proud of you, working together for understanding. You’ll be a great team for Archangel Michael!”
Ginger looked confused.
“Archangel Michael? Is he part of our collective?”
“Absolutely. Your souls chose this path of self-discovery and self-empowerment and the task of helping to raise Consciousness, even though you perceive that you’re just learning about that now. Ginger, all along our journey together, you’ve wondered when we were going to tackle the case you assumed Michael had given us. That case began in your human lifetime, as you began to learn and grow, and now has moved on to helping all of humanity, as well as the planet and the Universe to aid in the rise of Collective Consciousness.”
Ginger’s eyes widened. “The Universe? You’re serious?”
“Very serious, Ginger. Another paradigm humans need to drop is the thought that they are all alone in the Universe – or if there are others, humans must be at the top of the intellectual heap. Their love of a pecking order amidst their self-serving Ego on full display.”
The girls considered the angel’s words, but it was Claire who softly responded.
“Actually, with my Clairs, I’ve been able to meditate and then speak and interact with nonphysical entities throughout my life.”
Ginger’s jaw dropped. “We’re back to the voices in your head. And you’re just telling me this now?”
Claire giggled. “We’ve only known each other for a few hours, Ginger! And we’ve been a bit busy with Theo’s visit, so there’s been no time to talk about such things.” She paused. “But answer me truthfully: are you open to this kind of discussion? Please tell me that you’re not still stuck on vicious green aliens, biding their time before the Great Invasion, when they will conquer helpless Earthlings.”
Ginger considered Claire’s words for a long moment. What did I believe when I was alive? What do I believe now? Finally, she spoke.
“To be honest, I’ve always been intrigued by the idea of making a connection with friendly et’s, but kept quiet about it. I was different enough in that lifetime. I didn’t want people to ask if I wore a aluminum foil cone on my head to attract aliens. But now that I don’t have to worry about those kinds of issues, I am definitely open to the idea that we are not alone in the Universe. It seems rather foolish to presume we are – like proclaiming the world is flat.” Ginger paused, her gaze on her new friend. “Who do you connect with, if you don’t mind me asking? Who are these voices in your head?”
“I don’t mind at all. I have spoken and interacted with several cosmic beings over my lifetime. One of them, Joli, has been with me ever since I can remember. When I was very young, she appeared as my age, so as not to frighten me. We would often play together, as well as talk about life. As I grew older, so did she, so now when she comes to visit, she still appears as my age. Joli is an Arcturian [Arc-TUR-ee-un], a very advanced, mostly humanoid species from the star system Arcturus in the Boötes [BO-dus] constellation, which is located in the northern hemisphere, and can be best seen in the spring or summer. It is almost 37 light years from Earth. The Arcturians are a loving, peaceful civilization, who seek to help humanity with its rise of Consciousness.”
Ginger’s eyes widened with amazement. Finally, she found her tongue.
“Mostly humanoid? Are there civilizations that are not humanoid?”
Claire gazed at Ginger for a long moment. “If I answer your question honestly, are you going to flip out? Because if you will, then you are not ready for this discussion.”
Ginger gulped and took a deep breath. “I promise I won’t flip out. I need to understand.”
“Again, humanity’s Ego rears up, fostering the idea of all galactic civilizations looking like them. Top of the pecking order type of logic. Nothing could be further from the truth. There are many humanoid races across the galaxies, but there are also many non-humanoid races, as well. There is a wide diversity of beings from insectoid species through feline – cat-like features –and those with a canine-type appearance.”
Ginger nodded. “Star Wars.”
Claire grinned and nodded. “Exactly. Now, would you like to hear about Joli?”
“Absolutely. What does she look like?”
“Joli is very beautiful. The Arcturians are extremely, highly advanced multidimensional beings, so are often difficult to describe, and have more of an ethereal form than a physical one, They are exceedingly intelligent, so have larger heads than we do in order to house their minds. Many Arcturians are without hair, while others have light or white hair. They generally have larger mouths than ours, and have large, dark, almond-shaped eyes; Joli’s skin is a soft, almost translucent blue. She has long arms and short legs, so she is shorter than me.”
Ginger’s face clearly showed her awe, but tamped it down in her quest to understand. “She sounds incredible! And you talk with her in your language or hers?”
Claire paused and glanced at Barachiel. “I don’t want to hog this conversation, Barachiel. Do you want to answer her questions?”
Barachiel shook her head. “One of your tasks is to help Ginger evolve, and this is one way to do so. You’re doing a great job. I’m just going to watch and listen. Share with Ginger all that you wish.”
Claire nodded, and returned her gaze to her new friend. “Actually, many off-planet civilizations – Arcturians included – use a form of light language, which is an energy-based communication system. A human might perceive it as an odd collection of sound frequencies, but there are light codes embedded within light language, which help with human spiritual growth and DNA activation.”
Ginger’s jaw dropped. Wow. This is what Claire has done all her life, and she wants to be best friends with someone like me? What is she thinking?
Suddenly, Claire was in Ginger’s head. Someone like you is exactly my type of best friend, Ginger. Before either of us incarnated, we agreed to meet up at this exact time in these exact set of circumstances in order to complete our task together. Trust and release your feelings of inferiority – we have much to do together!
Barachiel smiled at her girls, and nodded. “Let it go, Ginger. You can’t move forward if you’re stuck in the past with outdated paradigms.”
Ginger nodded. I promise I’m working on it! She turned to Claire.
“You said that the light codes embedded in light language activate DNA. Our DNA isn’t already working?”
“Let’s start with the basics. Humans have 46 chromosomes – 23 from each biological parent, right?” When Ginger nodded, she continued. “Those chromosomes are made up of DNA, some RNA , and proteins called histones.” Ginger put up a finger.
“What’s the difference between DNA and RNA?”
Claire glanced at Barachiel, who nodded, so continued speak.
“Let’s start with DNA. It was first identified in your world in the 19th century, but scientists didn’t understand its connection to heredity until 1943. Then, ten years later, scientists Watson and Crick discovered that the DNA double helix structure contains what they called The Secret of Life. Years later, The Human Genome Project, an international research team from 1990-2003, mapped and sequenced the entire human genome – all three billion DNA base pairs, and identified all the human genes.”
“Wait. How on Earth do you know all this? Those voices in your head?”
Claire chuckled and shook her head. “I took an advanced biology course last semester, so all of this is still fresh in my mind!” She paused. “Want me to go on?” Ginger could only nod.
“But to get back to your original question, DNA stores genetic information – like a blueprint for the cells in all living things, but remains inside the nucleus. Simply, RNA is the messenger, carrying a copy of that blueprint from the nucleus to wherever it is needed, as well as completing other tasks.”
When Ginger nodded, Claire continued. “For many years, researchers have believed that because they could not identify the function of a particular gene, they labeled them as useless and termed them junk DNA. Nothing could be further from the truth, as modern research is identifying more of these genes all of the time. But, there are still many genes that have not yet been identified, and are currently listed not as junk, but as inactive.”
“Why do I get the feeling that you know more than you’re saying about these inactive genes?” Ginger asked. “You’ve been hanging out with Joli all your life, so I’m guessing she has spilled the beans, so to speak.”
Claire laughed. “She has, indeed. To get back to your question of DNA activation, more than a handful of open-minded scientists now believe that that inactive DNA, when activated, will allow humanity to access higher frequencies, so that they can take their rightful place as a member of the Universe amidst all of its glorious civilizations.” Claire paused a long moment, considering Ginger.
“I hope the biggest take away for you here is not that Joli has blue skin, but that humanity is – and has always been – an integral part of the diverse and beautiful galactic family. My et friends, as well as the entire Universe, are waiting patiently for humanity to awaken from their dream state, in which they are obliviously living their lives on planet Earth, with no idea of their deep, spiritual connection with the rest of the cosmos. We are all part of that cosmos, interconnected with all of the civilizations from the stars. We are from the stars, as well, but we’ll leave that conversation for later.”
For a long moment, there was silence in the meadow. Claire watched Ginger’s face, looking for a response. Finally, she quietly broke the silence. “So, friend, what do you think?”
Ginger reached for Claire’s hand and squeezed it. “I think I’m lucky to have someone like you in my life – or death or whatever this is. I am not only open to learning about all of this, but would love to meet Joli one of these days!”
“She’s anxious to meet you, as well, but is patient until the time is right.”
Ginger nodded, and asked, “So, the Arcturians aren’t the only other intelligent life in the Universe, right?”
The Rainbow Child glanced at Barachiel, who, once again, nodded, encouraging Claire to continue. “Actually, there is an infinite number of civilizations scattered through an infinite number of planets, stars and star systems within an infinite number of universes!”
“What?” gasped Ginger. “How is it that humans have been kept in the dark about all of this?”
Claire thought for a long moment. “Humanity had to reach the point where we had matured enough as a species to be open to such a concept. It also has to be done delicately so as not to freak out humanity with the thought of little green aliens gunning for them.” She paused. “I know you think Earth has been around a long time, but this planet and its inhabitants are like preschoolers, compared to the thousand advanced degrees held by the rest of the Universe. Humans on Earth are not of low intelligence; they are just very young, compared to the ancient civilizations in the cosmos.”
“So they’re not gunning for us? Are you telling me that there are no bad alien dudes out there?”
Claire smiled, and simply asked. “Are all humans good?”
“No,” replied Ginger. “Some of them do terrible things. Are you asking because that’s your answer, as well?
Claire nodded. “You can’t lump together all those advanced civilizations as good or evil. The vast majority of them are like the vast majority of humans – peaceful and loving.”
“Okay. I can work with that. Now, who else do you hang out with?”
