Where is my Tribe? What remains is scattered and fading into twilight.
Over the years, we have been robbed and physically destroyed. Now we lost our home and land- all the while being told what to buy, eat and consume- deceived by those we empowered.
No. I am not an American Indian. I am your average American citizen. To me, many of the parallels between what happened to Native Americans and us is striking. Perhaps, you think I am over reacting; I say: perhaps, you need to open your eyes and reevaluate who you have trusted in corporations, religion, health care and government.

Grandpa Charlie
Years ago, when discussing a local election and various candidates I asked my Grandfather Charlie, why he liked a certain candidate. Grandpa was from ‘the old country’ and his reply has stayed with me. “I like him because he remembers to leave a little for the people.”
Today, I wonder how many of our elected officials Grandpa Charlie would have liked?

Assumptions
O spiritual traveler, awaken and examine your assumptions. Some of them are jailers and it is time to break free; this prison is self-imposed- go further.

Golden Eggs
Sometimes we can recognize Fairy Tales operating in daily life. On an inner level, many of these stories parallel human behavior. That is one of the perspectives that Idries Shah and the Sufi Tradition have offered the West.
Surely I am not the first to suggest the relevance of the following tale; particularly as we decide in elections, over the next days, who is to run our country.
Consider the story of the farmer who had a goose that laid golden eggs. Each morning she would lay an egg of pure gold. Then the farmer took the egg to market and traded it for various items he wanted and needed. Eventually the farmer got tired of waiting for a daily egg and wanted them all at once. He reasoned, inside the goose was where the eggs were stored and all he had to do was access them.
When the farmer killed the goose and opened her up, he found there were none. To late, he realized that a healthy goose was needed to make and lay eggs.
In this story, seems to me, we are the farmer and the goose is America and this beautiful planet, Earth. Collectively human greed is destroying what was once a world of unlimited abundance, and many of our leaders are the worst offenders.
